Russ Smith joined the Board in 2001 and served a six-year term as the Treasurer of TIGP. Russ has volunteered with TIGP since his retirement in 1989 from the Department of Mines and Northern Development.  Russ has been extremely active in a number of environmental and community issues over the years, including Bring Back the Don and the Riverdale Garden for Seniors.  He enjoys working with children and community seniors and sharing his horticultural expertise in the development of community gardening projects.  Russ is also a member of the Intergenerational Volunteer Advisory Committee (IVAC) and he looks forward to continuing to volunteer to support the development of volunteer and intergenerational programs.
