Susan Kearns

Susan Kearns first experienced working with seniors as a volunteer at Providence Centre when she was thirteen years old. As a graduate of the Recreation Program at Centennial College she worked as a Rehabilitation Assistant for ten years with the City of Toronto. When she returned to the work force, after raising her children, she was an Educational Assistant at the Toronto District School Board, working with students who had special needs and physical disabilities in the elementary and secondary school levels.  Susan is presently a Recreation Service Assistant at the City of Toronto – True Davidson Acres where she enjoys working with the amazing and interesting residents. Susan is a member of the True Davidson Acres Health and Safety Committee, Gender Sexuality Alliance Committee and, as well as, she is an advocate for LGBTQ2S rights. Susan looks forward to being involved in her community as a TIGP board member again next year.
